Katerina Barushka was born in Minsk, Belarus, and graduated from Lancaster University in 2007. She has produced documentaries for Al Jazeera English and Belsat TV, and written for the Guardian, New Eastern Europe and Transitions Online. She covers topics of people and power, human rights and gender issues in Eastern Europe.
